The News is likely to be good for a Company Whose Shares are currently Trading for Pennies.

Global Investor Services, Inc., (OTCBB:GISV) a company whose shares are currently trading for pennies has scheduled a conference call for Wednesday October 14, 2009.

In my 32 years in the investment industry, I have never heard of a penny stock company holding a conference call for investors. Its hard to fathom that the news or the outcome of the conference call will be anything but good. If it were you can be assured that they certainly would not hold the conference call but instead just let the company fade away in the sunset just like many penny stock companies have done before them.

I like Global Investor Services shares and hold them personally because it happens to be the only public company, which is a pure play on the online investor stock market education segment. I made my wife a killing on Investools, which was the only other public company pure play. It was acquired by online broker Ameritrade at $10.45 per share this summer. She had purchased them for under $.20.

The horrid performance by mutual funds in 2008 and the Madoff scandal is driving millions who were previously passive, to become “do it your self” investors. Many of them are seeking investor education solutions that will enable them to protect their capital and generate returns, which are higher than the passbook savings rate. I believe that GISV, is well positioned because its www.Investview.com system is among the best and they offer the most affordable solutions to new prospective students.

When the financial and credit crisis hit in 2008, Global had no choice but to undergo a complete transformation from a high priced and low margin brick and mortar provider of classroom investor education to a low price and high gross margin online provider of investor education solutions. I believe that the company has undergone a complete makeover and now has a solid online publishing and education system and the infrastructure in place for uninterrupted and exponential growth.
